Blood red gems1/19/2024 ![]() Super overpowered gems that again, mostly affect players who are going for a challenge run- not the average player who will take dmg during a fight. There's no point to me in beating a boss if I'm just skipping most of the fight. The special weapons are fun and players should be encouraged to use them, not discouraged.Īdditionally this gem also makes no hit runs even easier!! Equip mortal temptation and Gluttony, along with a powerful dmg boosting red gem and that'll be probably a 200% damage boost!!! That's insane. A super lame gem because it disincentivezes the use or your blood weapons! Blood weapons are already underutilized, and the fact is, practically, players will take the free 50% dmg boost (that basically bans using blood weapons since you'll want to keep your giant dmg boost) over the other purple gems that boost special moves. Now onto the 2nd gem I have an issue with- Gluttony- 50% dmg when the blood meter is full. I like the fact that you can die in one hit though! Maybe you could have a setting that let's the player die in one hit so they can reset the bosses faster! I guess it just seems like this gem only makes a challenge run easier, without adding anything to the game. I'd rather not use the gem since it feels too strong, but I bet I'll have a lot of trouble with the new foes and be seriously tempted to double my damage without consequence (since I'm planning on no hitting the bosses anyways). I'm also a little worried about feeling tempted to use it on the dlc bosses. For those interested in the challenge of beating the boss without damage, this gem literally cuts that challenge in half. ![]() Casual players probably won't use it since not getting hit is still really hard, and 2. I don't see the point of this gem since 1. I did that run last summer and it was awesome challenge that felt very fair and satisfying- (except for the slime) Using the already existing in game gems I was able to deal tons of dmg to some bosses- we don't need more damage! This is the biggest offender in my mind as this is simply way way way too much extra damage and trivializes the "beat x boss without taking damage" challenge run. However, I noticed a couple new gems that seem really unbalanced.įirstly- mortal temptation- 100% extra damage but you die in one hit. ![]() Just saw the trailer and I'm super excited for pit of the damned!
